Ellen Schultz, Supervised Counseling Intern (Lamar University)

Special interests: anxiety, young adults, self-esteem

I believe every client has the inner capacity to make decisions and take meaningful steps toward a better quality of life. As a facilitator in this process, my role is to support you in developing deeper self-understanding and insight into how your life experiences have shaped you. With greater self-awareness, you can gain confidence, boost self-esteem, grow independence, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Patricia Young, Supervised Counseling Intern (Our Lady of the Lake University)
Special interests: anxiety, life transitions, young adults, self-esteem

My approach is flexible, collaborative, and centered on your unique needs. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors — and to develop practical strategies that support real, meaningful change.

Stephen Lewis, LPC, Supervised Marriage and Family Therapy Doctoral Student.  ( National University)
Special interests: Couples and Families, burnout, depression, men’s issues

I’ve had the privilege of working with clients across all stages of life—from 18-month-old toddlers to older adults. I support individuals and families through a variety of mental health, relational, developmental, and behavioral concerns. Depending on what each person or family needs, I provide individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and group therapy.

All student counselors receive weekly clinical supervision with Debbie Martin, LPC-S, LMFT-S, and case consultations with licensed therapists on staff, as well as a campus supervisor. This ensures excellent clinical care and ethical practice at all times.
