Bonnie was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2020, Bonnie began her graduate studies at Sam Houston State University in the Clinical Mental Health Program where she completed her Masters of Arts degree in Counseling in 2023.

Bonnie’s passion is working with children, adolescents, adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community using a cognitive approach that focuses on creating a welcoming and safe space for clients to feel accepted.

I believe that the benefits from a healthy professional counseling relationship go hand in hand with creating a more meaningful life. I believe that clients can reach their counseling goals when given the tools and support to achieve their wellness journey. Cultivating a healthy relationship between counselor and client is key, and can be achieved with creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel safe and accepted. I find great fulfillment in helping others begin their journey toward their goals and inner wellness, and I believe using techniques geared toward changings thoughts and behaviors can help with this.
