Meet Debbie

Debbie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT-S). She earned her Master of Arts in Community Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Sam Houston State University. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston.

Before entering the counseling field, Debbie taught middle and high school for 18 years. She began her clinical work at Banyan Counseling Network in Bear Creek and has since gained experience in diverse settings, including the Jack Staggs Clinic in Huntsville, Krause Children’s Center in Katy, West Oaks Hospital, and Westpark Springs Hospital.
 

Debbie works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her areas of experience include individual and family counseling; as well as coping with depression, grief, parenting, and anxiety. In addition, she can help clients coping with divorce, modifying behaviors, and improving communication skills.

Her counseling philosophy is rooted in the belief that clients have the capacity to make their own choices and resolve their own challenges. Debbie sees her role as a facilitator, helping clients increase self-awareness and build confidence, self-esteem, independence, and resilience. She strives to support clients in finding emotional balance and navigating life’s challenges with greater clarity and strength.
