Barbara is a graduate of the Master of Social Work program at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York (2002).  She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology and English from the University at Albany, State University of New York (2000). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and New York, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. 

Barbara has worked as a therapist in various settings, including non-profit organizations, home-based therapeutic programs, adolescent residential treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, and partial-hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs. She has extensive experience providing individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as family, couples, and group therapy, as well as experience in the areas of relationships, depression, anxiety, stress/anger management, life/family transitions, grief & loss, trauma and abuse.  

Barbara describes her style of therapy as a partnership. "I feel privileged to be able to join you in your journey, and watch you grow each step of the way.  I cannot do the work for you, but I aim to support and guide you as you take the steps toward positive change.  My goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space in which you can share, explore and achieve greater self-awareness." 

Barbara accepts appointments Monday through Thursday.
